wdmep

We have hosted the application wdmep in order to run this application in our online workstations with Wine or directly.

Quick description about wdmep:

Providing an online distributed digital media library. New providers are continuously added. Aiming at becoming the largest media library on earth.

This is an abstraction layer, allowing any WDMEP enabled website, software client application, device to communicate with each other, no matter what the media and data formats are, no matter what the transport layer is.

Non-WDMEP providers can have their content available trough WDMEP if

-they provide an API
-someone coded an API-to-WDMEP bridge and put it online

Based on plain text format for basic WDMEP communication ; easy to implement, fully extensible (everything is free-form), support any present, past, future data format, media format, transport layer.
