Quick description about optimal noise shaped pdm:

Demonstration of a simple technique to generate a pulse density modulated waveform where the quantization noise is moved to higher frequencies reducing filtering requirements.
Response time is fast with very high resolution possible. The limiting factor is that as resolution increases, the time to resolve the least significant bit doubles with each additional bit.
This is only intended as a demonstration project and a hardware implementation running at a much higher frequency would be easy to build requiring only a single counter of the required bit length and a comparator for each bit.
