Quick description about multicastcommunicator:

MulticastCommunicator is a multicast-based peer-to-peer instant messenger, which allows rapid file distribution, text chat and data exchange within a multicast group, e.g. a LAN. It is written in Java and uses an easily-extensible message chain concept.
