The different studies have shown the lack of a universal measurement system or gold standard, for which a scale has been developed using the most representative theoretical and empirical models, the objective is to validate the scale and verify the factors that influence. Validation study is carried out through a cross-sectional descriptive observational study of nursing consultations, of chronic patients, located in a hospital. Reliability of 0.846 is obtained from the scale under study, with an interclass correlation of 0.149. The scale is modified with nine items, obtaining a reliability of 0.750, and with an intraclass correlation of 0.835. There is a good correlation between the socioeconomic data and the characteristics of the dwelling. In regression models, these data (socioeconomic and housing) seem to have the highest incidence. The data, as in other studies, confirm the values of risk factors, emphasizing socioeconomic and housing data.
